Red Fuji is not a separate variety, but rather a red-skinned strain of the original Fuji apple. Itβs been selectively bred to produce a more vibrant and consistent red color.

Original Fuji Apple: Developed in Japan in the 1930s, released in the 1960s. 
- 
Parentage: Cross between Red Delicious and Ralls Janet. 
- 
Red Fuji Strains: Selected in various countries (including the U.S., Japan, and China) to enhance red coloring. 
- 
Common strains include Nagafu, BC Fuji, September Wonder, and Beni Shogun.

Color: Bright to dark red skin, often with striping or blush.

Shape: Large, round to slightly conical.

Flesh: Pale yellow to cream-colored.
